We went to home affairs today and they wrote directive no 43 of 2010 on the receipt and allowed us to travel. Could you please post the full page of this bill/ammendment. This to avoid any delays in the airport. Thanks
Hi, I have posted what I have. A directive is basically just like an internal instruction that the home affairs people have. Did they just write the words "Directive no 43 of 2010" or did they write out the directive? The only thing I can suggest is that you just print out the wording of the directive so that you can show it at both airports (when you leave SA and when you are flying back to SA). I personally have not been in this situation so I cannot speak from experience.
Or maybe you can ask Home Affairs to write a letter explaining what this directive is so that you show it at the overseas airport? To be honest I don't know what is the best solution because I haven't been in this situation myself.
